How to make your resolutions last

At the start of the year, many of us make plans and resolutions to improve ourselves. Sticking to them now, well into February, isn’t always so easy. But, says Chima Obieze, there are simple things you can do to stay on course

DO YOU still remember January, and the start of the new year? You were probably feeling inspired to make changes in your life, those ones that you’ve always promised to do.

Maybe it was a vow to exercise more, quit smoking, undertake a diet or drink less alcohol. This year, you confidently told yourself, was when you would achieve the goal.

But now it’s February, and are you keeping it up? Millions of others had a positive feeling when setting their goals but now the novelty has worn off, they may be struggling to make it to March, if that far.
